Reminders Before You Study Abroad

 
  • Cancel your NAU housing through Housing & Residence Life for spring semester if you signed a year contract with NAU in the fall. For the petition to terminate housing contract and most up to date cancellation policies click here.
  • Cancel your NAU dining plan for spring if you signed up for an academic year meal plan:  http://nau.edu/dining/

Pre-Departure Orientation


All students who study abroad are required to attend our Pre-Departure Orientation . We hold Pre-Departures towards the end of every Fall and Spring semester, and you will attend one based on which term you are going abroad.  Check out our Pre-Departure Handbook.

The Department of State website has some useful resources for students traveling abroad.

Pre-Departure Orientation Dates

This meeting is mandatory for any student studying abroad. YOU MUST ATTEND! The location of pre-departure 
orientation and set times of sessions will be emailed to all students shortly. Parents are welcome to attend.

WHAT: This session is for students going abroad for Fall 2018, Academic Year 2018-2019 and Summer 2018
WHEN: Saturday, April 28th 2018
WHERE: WA Franke College of Business, Bldg. 81

All students are required to attend one General Session, and many of you will attend a country specific meeting as well (semester/academic year and specific summer non-faculy led programs will attend country specific sessions). If you are going on a faculty led program and your program is not listed then you will only need to attend one General Session.
