Hello! Welcome to the first step in your study abroad journey! My first experience studying abroad was to France in high school. I was amazed at the difference between traveling abroad and education abroad. Education abroad is an excellent opportunity to experience new languages, sights, and cultures but also to focus on yourself and your passions from a new perspective. As an undergraduate I chose to study abroad for two semesters in separate locations, Beijing, China and Accra, Ghana. I sought more unique locations to ensure more diverse experiences. I had fallen in love with international education and I knew I had to help other students realize these opportunities. Since then I have volunteered in Honduras, backpacked through Western Europe and Southeast Asia, visited North Korea, and lived in China. While living abroad I worked with students from around the world studying in China. After gaining more experience I focused on my academics and received a M. Ed. in International Higher Education. Of course during my graduate studies I made sure I studied abroad again - this time in Rome, Italy!
