Traveling to Flagstaff, AZ


Students may fly into the Flagstaff Airport (FLG). US Airways is the only airline that serves the airport in Flagstaff. Or students can take the train to Flagstaff Train Station (AMTRAK) from Los Angeles, CA or Albuquerque, NM.

There is also a shuttle service (arizonashuttle.com) from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport (PHX) to Flagstaff that will drop you off at the Flagstaff Train Station or on campus for $47 one way.
 

Arrival Check List

  1. Signed up for housing (found off campus housing)
  2. Purchased parking permit (if bringing a vehicle)
  3. Signed up for Meal Plan (not required)
  4. Put down NSE Orientation in calendar! (Orientation date: January, 13 2017)
  5. Touch base with NAU Office of Student Scholarships and Financial Aid (Plan A students)
 

On-Campus Living Arrangements

Students that choose to live on campus will need to fill out the NAU Residence Life housing application.You will need to fill this out as soon as you have recieved your admit email from the NAU NSE Coordinator.

**Housing Disclaimers**
  1. Residence Life contracts are for one academic year
  2. Full year housing is split 50% each semester for the academic year total
  3. Students staying one semester are charged 60% of the academic year total
  4. Students staying one semester will need to cancel their housing contract before departing
 

Off-Campus Living Arrangements

Students that are not living on-campus in a residential hall have many options surrounding the university. Students utilize the following sites to look for off-campus housing:
 
  1. Flagstaff Craigslist has many posts from other students needing a roommate
  2. The Flagstaff Aparment Guide also lists all local apartment complexes
  3. The NAU Free & For Sale group on Facebook also has the occasional apartment postings
