Become a Faculty Led Program Leader - varied deadlines
Faculty led programs provide NAU students Winter, Spring Break, and Summer opportunities abroad while also offering professional development to NAU faculty leaders.
2020-2021 proposal deadlines depend on their term:
- Winter 2020-21 proposals are due April 1, 2020
- Spring Break 2021 proposal are due August 1, 2020
- Summer 2021 proposal are due October 1, 2020 (August 1 if faculty would like to advertise their program at the Fall 2020 Study Abroad Fair on September 2, 2020)

To introduce interested faculty to the proposal process, Education Abroad will host the following
online workshops over Spring 2020:

Become a Visiting Professor with USAC - Deadline December 3, 2019 (ended)
NEW APPLICATION FOR THE 2022-2023 TERMS WILL BE AVAILABLE September 1, 2020. Applications being accepted for Fall 2021 - Summer 2022. We would love to see you abroad for a semester! USAC will be hosting a webinar on October 24th from 9am-10am PST to help faculty walk through the Visiting Professor application process. Faculty and Professional Staff USAC FIDA award - Deadline December 2, 2019 (ended)
NEW APPLICATION FOR SUMMER 2021 WILL BE AVAILABLE September 1, 2020.The University Studies Abroad Consortium and Northern Arizona University invite faculty and professional staff members who wish to participate in USAC-sponsored study abroad programs to apply for a Summer 2020 FIDA. This program is geared towards faculty and staff with limited prior international experience and applications from those who previously received a FIDA or have taught as a USAC Visiting Professor are disqualified in order to allow the maximum number of faculty and staff to have this opportunity. Preference will be given to applicants with regular direct contact to students.
