Dr. Aiken made sure this was an overall well rounded great experience. I learned a lot about painting as well as the French culture. I would highly recommend this program to anyone interested in doing study abroad.

I thought this was an excellent program! I learned a lot both academically and culturally. It was an incredible experience I am so glad that I was able to participate! I would 100% do this trip again, and highly recommend it to anyone else.

I thought the program was amazing. This was the first time I had studied abroad and I loved the experience. Not only am I glad I participated, I plan on attending the program next year as well. The trips we went on were great learning opportunities. Watching everyone improve and grow with their artwork and their cultural experience really showed that this trip was work hard, play hard.

I am extremely glad I participated in this program. I wish it lasted longer, as I enjoyed every single scheduled trip and the studio days provided an excellent time to learn new painting techniques from our instructor, Bruce. I would recommend this trip to anyone, whether they have an artistic background or not. Bruce helped artists at all levels expand their knowledge and abilities. The housing was excellent, in a great location with complete immersion in the French culture. Experiencing Aix-en-Provence was one of the best times of my life, all the food and people were wonderful to experience. French speakers and non-speakers alike were able to comfortably spend their time in the area. Overall I think this was an excellent trip. It could have gone two weeks longer and I think I could have learned even more from Bruce Aiken. I suggest this program to anyone even remotely interested and hope NAU considers expanding the length of the trip, as I would happily pay to stay even longer.

I had an amazing time on this program! I learned so much and one of the best parts was being able to do art work all day, pretty much everyday. I loved the change of scenery, and the independence that I had to explore the city. This trip was one of the best parts of college so far and I am so glad I got this opportunity.

I thought the trip was an amazing experience to have as a young artist. We were embedded into the culture and truly got a feel for Aix-en-Provence on an artistic level. I am glad I participated in this program because I got to step outside of my comfort zone, both in art and in worldly experience, and received one-on-one mentoring from a skilled artist.

I am very glad I got this opportunity to do something unrelated to my major exploring my creative side. I had a great time and will remember it forever.

The program was honestly one of the most unique experiences I have ever endured.
