The Blue Family International Volunteer Scholarship
This scholarship is established by Brian & Ann Blue in the name of the Blue Family. While their youngest son, Brandon, was attending the University of Washington he identified an organization for which he wanted to do volunteer service. He ended up volunteering for Nuestros Pequenos Hermanos and serving for over a year at their home for children in Honduras. Subsequently his brother, Darren, joined him and served also in Honduras for over a year. Later Darren became a nurse and now serves as Medical Director for the NPH homes in Peru, Bolivia, Honduras and E1 Salvador.
Ann and Brian Blue attended NAU in the late ’60’s and are current residents of Flagstaff. Two of their sons, Darren Blue and Travis Blue, also graduated from NAU. Through their children they have become very active in support of NPH. It is in the spirit of international volunteerism as demonstrated by their children that this scholarship is offered.
