ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Experience Merida -- called the "white city" after its white buildings -- while studying with the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico (UNAM). This program will include classes, volunteer projects, and visits to important historical and cultural sites, such as the Mayan ruins of Chichen Itza and Hacienda Sotuta de Peon. Program experiences will immerse students in the Spanish language and focus on developing their Spanish skills in professional settings. Students will have the opportunity to interact with local professionals, as well as the local community when working on the volunteer project.
