Bonjour! I am thrilled you are interested in studying abroad! I studied English and French in college and spent a semester in Tours, France. Living with a host family, taking classes in a French university, and traveling around Europe presented daily challenges and excitement that pushed me to more deeply engage with people, places, and myself. I even keep in touch with my host family over seven years later! As a graduate student, I supported a faculty-led Winter Term program in Fiji. I worked with students to make meaning of their experience in a vastly different culture while examining how globalization impacts people and landscapes across the world. This opportunity affirmed that I wanted to get students abroad! As an Education Abroad Advisor, I love challenging myself and others to understand all cultures as unique and valid while rooted in our common humanity, increasing connectedness, and shared environment.
